About Watchman
Watchman Fine Arts
Watchman Fine Arts is located in the shadow of the Watchman Peak just outside the southern gate of Zion National Park. The peak is thought to have been named by Frederick Vining Fisher, a Methodist Minister, because it appeared to guard or watch over the south end of the canyon. In the Biblical text a watchman was a guardian stationed on the city walls or in a tower to detect threats, danger and disseminate important news. Therefore, the term watchman was often attached to spiritual seers charged with decerning spiritual realities and alerting people of imminent threats.
