A life devoted to light
The Work
Each painting begins as a conversation with light -- the way it bends around a form, pools on a surface, or disappears entirely at the edges. Working across oil, watercolour, and mixed media, the practice is rooted in direct observation but driven by feeling.
The work resists easy categorization. It moves between abstraction and figuration, between precision and accident, always searching for the point where technique falls away and something honest emerges.
The Studio
The studio is a converted industrial space flooded with north light -- the kind painters have sought for centuries. Canvases lean against every wall, some finished, some waiting. There is a permanent smell of linseed oil and turpentine.
Visitors are welcome by appointment. The gallery hosts intimate viewings, studio tours, and seasonal open studio events throughout the year.
